| jacobs 30/5/8 its still out of sorts competition type report fished a club competition at jacobs last night 8-2am conditions were lovely after the rain during the day and i was so glad i carried the shelter down and back for excercise 25 signed in( 24 fished where was the friethmaster???  ) low water was at 9 then fishing up i decided to fish the bottom of the ramp by the platfrom hoping for a better mixed ba from there well it was quiet , too quiet and the best bite i had was a scabby little dog that came and nicked my bluey bait from the cutting board  dogs arent even supposed to be on beach may-sept , then later had the audacity to come back and throw it up near us againwell at least it provided some amusement for others  moved onto plkatform about 10.30 as water in by then and at about 12 eventually got a doggie  others moved along but all were finding fish hard to get come the end i managed 2 small and i mean small 4oz silver eels as well although weighed in wasnt enough even for a place but even the winner had only dogs and pout no mackeral and still no ray yet from jacobs even with 50 rods and there were quite a few who blanked completely a pleasent eve but still waiting for the ray, they must turn up soon   as def out to east but dont always want to travel so far dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives Last edited by pingu; 05-31-2008 at 09:12 PM.     |
