Question Magazine Lane, southampton ....

Hello every1,

I`m curious, does any1 local to Pompey or Soton know where to fish near somewhere called `Magazine Lane` in Totton. I`ve heard loads of rumours about it but never had the chance to explore down that way.
Is it easy to park and find somewhere to fish?
Where is the best part to head too ?
Cheers for any help !

Nick

Re: Magazine Lane, southampton ....

I have fished it a few times, It does have very deep water and does throw up some suprises although you will have to get through the pouting as they are there in huge numbers, you should also expect some tackle loss as it's also known as snaggy alley, the knack is to fish the flood and once you start retrieving your rig don't stop (a lead lift might help) Don't know what it's been fshing like lately but it has got to be better than the rest of the solent at the moment! PS most people fish the wall stretch.
