Cracking Bass Spinning Session

I took my lad, Tyler, spinning for bass this evening in Portland Harbour and we had a fantastic session with the schoolies. We were using my home made lures and at one point Tyler was catching a fish a cast. In an hour he had 10 bass to 2lb, one garfish and the biggest mackerel I have ever seen. I only had one small bass even though we were fishing in the same place with the same lures.

I think what made the difference was the fact that Ty was jerking his lure more like feathering for mack where I was retrieving more smoothly. I'm not going to tell you exactly where we were fishing, I'll leave that for you to work out and next time I am going to try to fish like a 12 year old in order to catch a few more. Well done Tyler.

Jon
