| Swanage Pier 26/4/8 Little fish but by no means prolific. Kirikomi & I fished from 10ish to 15:30, bait was generaly rag, but did try mackerel & squid strips on size 2s or 4s. Started off well with bites imediately catching tiny wrasse on worm, they continued to feed all day. had a pouting on the Mackerel strip but it may have been a whiting, memory has gone. caught a much larger one on a squid strip, which guy next door said was a Pollack but I wasn't paying attention & put it back imediately. Also had a couple of small spiders. Other species seen caught, 1 proper wrasse, a weaver fish, a garfish & a big blue bag which fought hardest of all. Plenty of divers around who were summeraly abused by others, can't really see why as they try to stay under the pier & it's a bit of live & let live imho. Nice day though, pier fishing is a very social experience, & the sun burnt the backs of my legs.... Its shorts weather folks ![]() ![]() __________________ Spahill <:--- --- --- --- It was this big --- --- --- ---:> |
