not much to shout about really, i travelled down with 2x boxes of squid and 2 pkts of sandeel + added 30 odd rag that i dug on the way.

wind was light s/w, sea was choppy to start but settled into a gentle swell by morning, high water i thought was for 1 am but i could be wrong,

i fished from 19.00-04.00 useing a 2 hook flapper and a pennel pulley hopeing for ray but to no avail.

a guy i met while digging bait suggested a different section of the bank than my usual spot however i did my own thing which is probably why i failed my target.
fish and squid baits caught the odd doggie and any cocktail with the worm got hammered by pouting.

but the shere numbers of pout wore me out in the end.

, i just set my sights a bit high after the success of the last session i recon. but with out that 1 fish it would have been dismal
theres bin times when i would have regarded a mix of doggies and numerous pout as a good session

there's always next time, and for me it'll be thursday night with a bit of luck.
i might go back to the shingle bank coz i always fancy it on a neap tide.
or chesil, or gilkicker

or anywhere in between really,
as ever i'll give it a lot of thought over the week and probably pick the wrong spot
