budleigh again

well after going to tackle shop to replace gear lost over sand last sat week have been told loads of wrasse, makkie and bass still from exmouth docks over daytime high tide ,
so with it being flat calm, and also a low tide tonight rising to full at midnight(which is usually poor at the beach) i'm going to plonk my arse on budliegh beach tonight with rods and a few chilled beers as well(as not working till tommorow eve) near the beach huts and wait for the doggies and hope for more!!!! will let you know the score tommorrow

Re: budleigh again

well i've just got back went there about 7
thrown everything in the water all for 3 doggies and a few pouting
looked encouraging to start with bit of surf then went flat calm at 9 when fishing all but stoppped got just last doggie at 10(at least can unhook now)
even wishing for fish on the shooting stars didnt help
and nothing on the peeler either but seem to have live crabs back in abundance
lets hope weekends predicted bad weather sorts things out,
use up rest of bait at docks tommorrow over high tide
i'll be back as they say in the films

Re: budleigh again

Hi - im steve mingo 13 and i love fishing - i know i only have a boat rod but it works fine - i am going fishing tomorrow at 2-5pm of exmouth docks for a mackeral shoal ill let you know what i caught tomorrow as i come back. But I noticed u lived quite close and just wanted to learn some skills from u. I know how to catch around 1 to 2 pound wrasse and some small pollock and am trying my hand at mackeral. I just wanted to know if u cud come for a fish sometime or if anybody else lives nearby.
