I saw three Swallows today. All I need is a couple of Mackies off Chesil tomorrow & summer will definately be here. Never mind the snow they forecast....

Re: West Bexington this Saturday

Well, I have half a pound of fresh rag in the fridge along with squid and mack in the freezer. My only problem is casting far enough to reach the plaice. I'll leave my rig tying until I see what you guys are using and copy them on the beach. How about some casting lessons too?

Cheers

Jon

LOL I think you've got the wrong guys for lessons. Steves a total beginner at Sea Fishing, & i,m only an expert at Birdsnests & long range crack-offs....
This is the first time i've seriously tried for Plaice, so hopefully we can work something out together...

Re: West Bexington this Saturday

Blank, blank, blank for everyone that was at Bexy yesterday. No one that I spoke to had caught anything and to be honest I consider myself lucky to have caught a hermit crab. I hate West Bex with a passion, I have never even caught Mack there but it was nice to meet Greenheart and Banana Steve on the beach. Next time guys we'll have to try somewhere where there is at least a chance of catching something.

Re: West Bexington this Saturday

Unlucky folks.
I had Chesil recommended to me last night as well.
Yet to fish it seriously myself, yet to fish anywhere seriously though.
Was it busy down there?
I'm not too fond of long walks as I tend to carry tackle for 2 .

Re: West Bexington this Saturday

If you want to catch fish in Chesil you need to fish at night. I have never had anything but mack and trigger fish in the day from Chesil. Church Ope on Portland is usually a much better bet with more variety.
