 short session today Went for a quick session down the docks this morning (Tues) in search of anything for points, after darts in town( lost agin but nice barmaids so who cares  ) it was forever going to be a fuzzy headed session Only using stuff left over from other sessions and in freezer geared light with 2-4oz bass rod and away I went  Baits were a bit of dead rag some poor quality crab and some breaded scampi  Simple as ever straight ledger with 2 hook above and 1 hook below and 1oz weight , a simple cast of 120yrds ish got me into the feeding grounds( well so I hoped) Nothing happened for the first 11 hours 55 minutes and then just before midday a slackline bite and I was in And what a battle it was, and after a tough 3 mins this wee beastie was on the dockside A wolfish  Unfortunately not in the hunt So after a minute on the side and quick photo it was back, and then back home at 12 to catch up with bargain hunt on telly A pleasant morning  I’ll be back next year as ever for another attempt  Beer1 Dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives     |

 Re: short session today  Welldone Dave. Glad to Hear that you returned it as these fish are particularily rare in UK waters. Maybe we should consider this species for next years species hunt along with some of the exotic species that are now showing in our waters? One interesting fact about Wolfish is that they only enter British waters in very early April, so if anyone want's to catch one, you'd best get the rod out today.... __________________ Don't Judge My Path If You Haven't Walked My Journey... |
