| as said in other thread had a mate , mark, down for the weekend whos a dedicated( and very good) fly fisherman arriving late friday afternoon the plan was beer fri fish all day saturday well a quick look at weather report and decided lets chance fri night as saturday did not look good at all so with apologies for not calling baggie here( sorry mate ) we raced of to hopefully find shelter at ladram bayset up left of the rock stack with mark fishing into the eddie that forms behind it impressed that mark had even made his own 2 hook flapper rig ![]() well i cast out way left( snagged and lost gear) then retackled and again lost another set ![]() mark however was getting plenty of action on his rod but not connecting, so guessing was all the small stuff, got him to hold rod, and after a short while he had a pout on the shore, followed by another then rockling and then this ![]() the cutest baby bull huss ever ( and what I was after for points) we fished on till 11.30 as bites stopped as ever when tide turned and managed a pint at the kingss arms on way home( I love midnight closeing) a great night and mark has caught bug i think Have to admit we bottled saturday night and just sent out SOS for an ark as weather so so foul ( even taxi'd it to pub ), so it was a good shout getting out fri( sea was still v v difficult when went to jacobs to use up ( and blank again) at jacobs last night) ![]() ![]() dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives Last edited by pingu; 03-31-2008 at 09:26 AM. |
