| Arrived 6.30ish and set up by the railings in the corner at the river entrance in the car park. Wind strong and bloody cold. Set one rod for flatys using lug the other for anything else ( 2 hook boom, with squid & mackie) fished close in to the harbour wall. Cast out both rods then sat in car out of wind and waited, and waited. Several casts and 1 hour later, still waiting! Pulled in to rebait and yes ive got something, a small ling about 8 inches long (wow!) This excitement continued until HW when I duly decided i had had enough of a good thing and packed up. Total for evening 3 ling all about the same length but ranging in fatness. But on the bright side I did avoid the dreaded blank!. |

| Re: Newhaven, (friday night) My lodger fished there, Saturday I think, during the day with King rag, and to my suprise he caught a couple of decent flounders! I've never done much good there personally, although sometimes its the only spot in the area that is fishable! __________________ WWW.DVICE.CO.UK Where Fishing Gets Easier |
