| Hayling Island 8/3/8 Conditions looked good for a Bass bash - F6/7 winds stormy beaches spring tide .... bucket of fresh limpet .... Headed off for my fav Bass mark - got there in strong F6 SW winds, lovely surf running and the beach stank of limpet .... perfect  Fished 2030 - 0030 HW0006 Winds as above, really overcast & rain Fished close in with limpet all night, needed a 6oz uptide weight to hold bottom in the surf - nothing for a few hours - not even a nibble, winds grew stronger, surf really started to pick up as HW approached with some crashing waves - those that know the Inn - the waves were crashing over the railings around the pub patio area  decided to move my buddy a bit further up the beach and as well I did as come HW - the area where I had been was awash .....An hour before HW - the bites came - amazing how you can see a Bass bite in the wind/surf - bite they did ... soon had half dozen nice 1-2lb Bass and a few schoolies - then came the rain - poured down but the winds did die off a little ..... had one more baby Bass on a 1/0 !!! ... decided to call it a night and went home to reflect on a glorious day all round .....
