About the fishing prospects that is. Fished walcott today and apart from the flounders & dabs & a few small pout the whiting were about & reasonably sized as well, Lets hope they get bigger & bring the cod with them.

i have a good feeling for this winter too, something seems different dunno what, but i think this winter's gonna produce a lot of good flatties/cod and whiting, can't wait til i get out with me grandad

I think you are right mate, the Codling have started to show up here earlier than last year..... will see in the next couple of weeks..... then i'll have a really good feeling, almost as good as yesterday!

Think we may be jumping the gun a bit lads... we need some real cold/rough weather to bring anything decent down the coast. The reports from up North aren`t that good yet but as soon as it`s cold enough and the weather turns the bottom over releasing the food then the Daddy`s will be moving down.
