| Eastney 23/2/8 - 24/2/8 Yep - a marathon session ..... as mad as Cuckoo now fishing 72 hours non-stop ... Fished 1930 till 1030 today ...... 15 hours of ...... 12 hours then - fell asleep at 0300 for a few hours  ... non stop fish ....Had 2 dozen or so (lost count) Whiting, Pout & Schoolies all night long, double shots Treble shots .... also broke out the third rod for close in - had a nice 1lb Bass on limpet ...     Also caught a nice Shore Rockling - first one I have ever caught   Strange erie night, really misty and foggy, several lights looked odd, through some of the mist saw one bloke fishing with the biggest light I have ever seen ... I have never seen anything like it - it was as though someone had taken the NE corner floodlights from Gods Country (Fratton Park) and plonked it on the beach. It lit up about a 100 square yards including the sea ..... no Bass for you then ! Fortunately about 2/300 yards away so didnt bother me too much ... just kept me awake  Spoke to a fox and told him to go annoy the Jean Michel Jarre lightshow man ... watched a searchlight display .... lots of boats zipping in and out of the langstone harbour channel - also called the Coastguard for the first time - a red para flare went up - probably something to do with the boats come to think of it - I hope it was .... Stayed on this morning to join some of the lads from WSF on a charity fish for a guy that was washed away in the Bristol Channel - looks like quite a few quid raised ... they are staying till 1500 .... not me - beddies for me so left them to endure the overcast drizzle ..... __________________ SUPPORT THE RNLI - click : www.rnli.org.uk ... every little helps !
