| town quay , the night of the eclipse Morning all , well me paul matt and dan decided to try a new venue last night ....town quay , arrived at 6.00pm to yet again mill pond like sea state ...and pretty warm for a change ,, no frost all night ... baits were rag ,squid maccy and i thought id try a a bait ive never used before that was getting ripped apart as soon as it hit the water .... ....Bites were full on from the first cast , bagging more pout and whiting than you could shake a stick at ... fished low to high ,then to low again , and for a change we never had that dead period when all goes quiet for a few hours , bagged a mahoosive whiting on me new bait , greedy bugger swallowed it whole .... then at 2.40 am as we watched the eclipse starting ,,,, wallop and again new bait produces ..... not massive but a welcome site ,,,,, probally weighed 2-3 pounds...  best nights fishing for weeks , and a nice view of the eclipse as well departed 5am for home , hopefully ill get another sesh in before the baby enters the world, cheers , lee __________________ If Everyday things are getting you down & stressing you out, Think like a Dog, If it cant be Eaten or Humped, Piss on it and walk away..     |

Sounds like a great night to fish.Nice bass mate.Not long till your holding the new born baby in your arms.& not a bass.You will have to stay in & feed it & change stinky nappies.( no fishing passes ) Make the most of it now mate.All the best marty.  |
