Re: Quick or you'll miss 'em!

Yep, South Parade Pier ..... bet ya a 4lb+ comes up in the next week or so.

St George's Rd will start to fish now that the water has cleared.
Right weather etc essential for these plaice.

Sea Angler (out 4th March) has the Eastney plaice article in.

Ada

Re: Quick or you'll miss 'em!

Swam from the end of winner bank for about 1-2k towards hayling funfair today Gremlin and the vizz in the bottom two metres is nil.
I could just make out the bottom if i put my mask on the sea bed.
We need a long settled spell.

I could of told yer that without getting wet!!!!

Nice one, though!

The reason I was going to South Parade Pier was that the first 100m of the surfline was still 'milky'! Fifty odd years of fishing for them tells me they won't be feeding in numbers until it clears.

Given three or four days of calm weather, I was expecting it to fine down, but it didn't.
The end of the pier (30' of water at HW) was relatively undisturbed and there were fish there the weeks beginning Feb 11th and 18th. It was more coloured than usual this Weds and no fish showed to the two or three anglers there who were fishing for them.

Roll on the weather we had early last March ....

Oooppssss .. no, I meant the fish -
