This is the only 4 week spell of the year when I fish daylight ....

There was a hive of activity at St George's Rd yesterday, but I saw on another forum that no plaice appeared to be taken.

The advantage of the pier is the 10 metres+ of relatively undisturbed water within casting distance while the first 70 yards at St George's was coloured up by the easterly chop.

Worth remembering.

I was the only booger on the pier yesterday. No weed, kids or crabs (yet)!

Yes, look out for the Rick Stein programme from Cornwall where he catches some mega-Arachnids by hand.
Some say the meat (mainly from the legs) is 'sweeter' than brown crab.
Personally I can't be ar*ed to pick it all out! Very popular in France, Portugal and Spain.
