well the mrs wanted to finish papering the main room last night and I was going to be in the way

, so after hearing reports of deeringdoo from club comp at cogden sat night(ok cod and smuts) decided to go to next nearest spot, west bex as i dont do hills

got there 7ish and set up a bit left of carpark(which was almost devoid of cars, a sign there i think)had to put back of shelter facing east which also didnt bode well

well i fished big and little baits with razor.squid. rag. crab and frozen blacks but couldnt buy a bite untill hightide at 10, lost what i have to call a doggy bite when rebaiting other rod

guys coming off said had only had dogs and pout but i was determined to wrangle something better out

after high the dogs came on the feed and i quickly had several in to save the blank, some fought quite well especially as the beach is really scoured out by the recent storms and there is a huge undercurrent which made for fun

fished till 12ish then headed back to car
after getting changed out of all the thermal stuff went and used the facilities

and got myself cold on way back to car(temp gauge did show zero) so decided to warm up car and myself before heading home with floyd atom heart mother on cd , it was always going to be a recipie for disaster and so it was I woke up at 1.40ish

and 1/4 tank fuel gone

got home and bed just before 3 ( not unsurpriseingly mrs p had finished the decorating and it looks good

)and awake with kids at 7 with stifff neck from the car (wont do that again)oh joy

I will be back
and have more than enough bait for tonight down rodney bay with rich
