i read that on a forum somewhere last year,the little common(both around 8-10 inch's) took lug and squid,i've had them take whole sqiuid at haslar,but not the biggies

Most divers I know think that there is no difference between a Smut and a Doggy, so I wouldn't hold much faith in what they say Ian.

Hi Eddie.

I have had quite a few doubles from Moonfleet and Abbotsbury. Always in October or November. Biggest was 13lb taken on fresh Hermit.

well done pp,i was going by most angling press reports,i don't target smutts on chesil,much prefer selsey,much more room there than hill head,lee-on-solent can be awesome at times likewise for pagham.
