| Myself and Roger decided have a short day bash at Normans Bay again (a little less further along than the other night) armed Fresh live Lug, Mackie & Spratts. Quite a few other anglers down there with reports of only a single small plaice being caught earlier. Still the weather was lovely for this time of year. Had a few knocks each and missed the lot. Had one last cast and had another rattle and was greeted by a fat bellied, slimy, ugly, awkward thing to handle with a small beard - I was convinced it was the wife (Rogers mum) before it dawned on me was actually a Rockling. But at least I didn't blank. Roger still enjoyed it though and wanto keep going. He is getting the hang of casting now - not much distance (like me there too) but getting better - May have to get him some tackle later in the year for his 18th. Tally Kevin (me) 1 Rockling Roger 0 (he will get me next time I bet) ![]() |
