'Horses for courses', then.
We all go fishing for different reasons. That's part of the human psyche.

Personally I want the challenge of targeting a species or size before I set off.
Sort of 'mission accomplished' thing (or not!).

I would not spend 2 hours digging, collecting, tying traces, travelling etc regardless of conditions and prospects. Especially when those prospects are what you described.

It's just a different approach to the same game, OK?

typical lol, lovely day to be out though thoroughly enjoyed the blank
That's fine! I know what you mean.

Re: hayling island ...blankety blank !!

Unlucky Lee ,i think Hayling in Feb in the daylight always had blank written all over it but a club meet like yours is about a lot more than catching fish.

Re: hayling island ...blankety blank !!

Well done guys. Glad you had a good day, fish or no fish. It's to be expected at this time of year I guess, but it wouldn't stop me getting out and having a laugh with me mates. Top marks for effort.

Talking of laughing at mates.... What the hell did you do to that reel Lee??? It's a blow up on a "BaggieRich" type scale!
