Smile Normans Bay/Pevensey 7th Feb Report

Got out fishing for first time in ages with my son (first time proper for him) and armed with Lug/Mackerel & Spratts headed to Normans Bay. Got there too early really but by the time we had removed all the (as the boy said) "un-cool labels" from the new kit (One of the new rods turned up 5 minutes before leaving - Perfect timing or what!!) and had a bite to eat and a drink we were ready to wet a line. Took an hour or so for the tide to turn and we were getting knocks almost straight away. First to score was me with a double shot of a pout and flounder, next Roger reeled in and was excited to have a small whiting followed by the next fish a flounder, next one was a flounder to me folwed by 2 more singles of whiting to Roger. I was 4 - 3 down with last cast made each when I had a rattle another flounder. All fish were fairly small but it was our first time fishing for ages and they all count as entertainment. We may try Langley Point on Sunday in the day (he loved it)
Final Tally
Me - 3 Flounders & 1 Pout
Roger - 3 Whiting & 1 Flounder

Well done

Looks like you live just down the road from me - do you often fish mid-week?
