| Hayling 2/2/8 Fished bllly-no-mates last night on Hayling .... 1800 - 2130 HW1959 Cold & windy, overcast - started off as a F4/5 SW but veered to a F6/7 S - quite a surf running and the beach had been well & truly scoured out leaving a high ridge to fish from - unusual for Hayling ! Very slow going, little out there in these conditions and hard work casting into the F7 Southerly however I persevered and caught a Whiting to stave of that dreaded B word .... Then I did some maths - No Tea + bloody cold + started to rain + No fish = Match of the day ..... so home I went  __________________ SUPPORT THE RNLI - click : www.rnli.org.uk ... every little helps ! | Re: Hayling 2/2/8 Not many are keener than me and I live on the beach at Hayling! But why on a bloody 'orrible night in February?????? The chances of even a decent bass or cod are around 100/1. I call a halt here until the first calm sunny days at the end of Feb (if any?). I can keep going thinking of early March last year like this -  Give yerself a break!!!! |
