Hot Walls

Fished Hot Walls on Sat Evening/Night With Tony Bolton, for the life of me i dunno why they call it that. Cos the fishing wasnt very hot and neither was the walls cos i felt them on more than one occasion and they were most defenatly cold.
Seemed to be a lot of people wanting to get in here as its only a smallish venue inside the grounds of a castle type thing and its very sheltered from the winds we have been getting.
Baits used were rag, sandeel, squid and black frozen lug not a lot appening with any of the baits just the usual pout n slugs.
Heres my fish of the night dont laugh size isnt every thing but can i add it to my species hunt thingy.
It is if you can make it out a short spined sea scorpion

A bearded rockling although i'm not sure how many bearded, we caught loads of the slimey things, still points is points.

It is called the 'Hot walls due it being a sun trap on that little bit of beach, the walls do get very hot when the summer sun blazes on them all day and is a haven for sun bathers ..... in fact you can stand on the top of the walls and look over to see all the topless sunbathers below - not that I know from experience - someone told me - I would never do such a thing

Just for info of all on here......if you find you need a sea scorpion to boost your points tally at any point, just spend an hour with a rod, a three hook flapper and some scraps of rag at South Parade pier, Southsea. Fish directly next to the pier and you will get them by the dozen (as well as wrasse, pollock, pout etc, if conditions are right). Mind the spines on those scorpions though.....I got scratched last year, it was only a tiny scratch.....but it bled for hours and stung like a b*tch! Very unfriendly!
