| Selsey lastnight 10-1-08 Fished Selsey lastnight instead of Hayling due to the winds. Got there bang on low water and set up on the high water mark,i quickly chucked a rod out whilst i carried on setting up and within minutes the tip was banging away. I wound in and landed a decent Bass of about 2-3lb ,great start i thought or was it a flukey start with a rouge Bass I got two rods out fishing and sat back,another good bite woke me up and i landed another Bass close to the 4lb mark. Bloody hell i thought i m in for a right session here but then it really slowed down and as the tide pushed up the bank it went quiet. An hour went by ,the wind had really eased and it was a lovely evening,i then had a Bass around 1.5lb and another of about 1lb. I fished untill about 1145 and ended up with 7 Bass and a Slug,i m sure i missed a Cod bite late on whilst using black lug and squid . It was a real classic pull down and come back but i got all excited and missed it All in all a decent evening and a million times better than i was expecting and there was very Little weed which is always a bonus __________________ One day i will post a catch report again.     |

I ended up with a Pout, a sock (left foot) by Umbro and a lovely tea towel featuring castles of Scotland ..... oh yeah - and the East Solents share of weed ..... thats why Gully didnt have any - It all got caught on my line before it got to him  Depressing depressing depressing  BUT - well done Gully on some great fish - 2 Bass in 2 chucks at LW  __________________ SUPPORT THE RNLI - click : www.rnli.org.uk ... every little helps !
