ESAA new wednesday matches start this wed

well as the title says

my fave the wed matches start again this wed
they are usually on the first wed of each month but as there would be no bait available on 2nd we moved to this wed

the venue is Good old Budliegh Salteton so will expect dogs, dogs and dogs and maybe a pout and whiting or 2

I am assisting running this this year, but fishing as well

sign in is from 7pm - 7.15 pm at the steamer steps and fishing from 7.30 - 11.30 with weigh in back at the steamer steps straight after(matches are always the same time just venue changes)

we opperate catch and release, fish are measured and if in size to NFSA specimin card then allowable, you weigh in best 2 of each species, then pertcentage points awarded against NFSA specimin chart, sounds confuseing but isnt really

1 or 2 rods but a max of 3 hooks fishing at any one time between them if 2 rods , a spinner counts as 1 , pennel =2 and a 2 hook lure =2

cost is £3 with £1 to winner(so if 20 fish = £20) £1 to club and £1 to yearly pot, last year paid out over £100 to winner, you can become a member on the night (£10 new member fee for 2008), but shout if interested
I know theres one on here who wants to join

its a casual league/comp, with either the winner or loser(cant remember) chosing the next months venue

so if you fancy a pleasent night with a bunch of nutters, come down to budliegh wed night
if the weathers foul we still meet but often abandon early to pub

Gotta love Budleigh. Should be renamed the kennel club match for this month.

Not sure I'll be able to make it though, as an early start in Tamworth (Deep joy) looms large for the next day and I might have to go up the night before. That is unless I can convince my boss I can get up at stupid O'Clock.
