Stokes bay mini sess today

Well after two weeks of man flu which would have put most woman on thier arses i felt well enough to take me young lad out (who had been nagging for what seemed a life time).

With a strong easterly blowing and a very small tidei headed round to stokes bay to get some shelter and depth.
I arrived about 1530 and got talking to a bloke who had turned up next to me,turned out to be Crusader off the forum.
Always nice to put names to faces and if you ever need crew mate for that boat of yours;)

Anyway he headed off to Gilkicker and i just plonked myself to the left of the rescue slipway due to my young un.

After 10 mins shelter flying i finally got it up and my lad went inside to defrost ,it was bloody freezing
I cast out two rods each with 3 hook clip down rigs on baited with rag in the hope of anything just to show Alex.
30 mins later and i went to bring in the first ,about 50 yards out it snagged up fast and broke off .The other rod did the same,great 2 leads ,2 leaders ,2 three hook clip downs and all the bloody fiddly making that goes with them
I new there was a reason why i usually walked a fair way.

Any way to cut a long story short i ended up fishing very short about 10 yards out as i couldnt be arsed to move.
I had a decent schooly, a pout and a rockling in three casts ,it was then time to go home for bath and bed for Alex and a cold beer for me.
A very short sess but better then i expected .

Still first fish of the year, first points ..... 1 session 0 blanks - cant be bad !

I can really sympathy with you John...a mans' flu is the worse thing going...I bet you were on your knees just so you can fulfill little Alex wish to go fishing.

now you mentioned that man flu 2 weeks ago so i believe(even tho a bloke myself) that you are now milking it a touch ( and you passed on to maghouse as well
