Mini meet breakwater sunday 26th Sept

It started off with me taking Talis to the breakwater to show him a few things and it's starting to expand :)

Jabba is coming along and I think Kev is also.

Planning to get there around 11am or just after and fish until around 4pm. Anyone else welcome for this mini meet before the big one next week.

Might as well update now I'm back.

I got to chat to the Kiwi today who didn't come with any fishing gear (slacker hehe) and I also got to meet Kev who also brought no fishing gear with him (double slacker hehe).

Guys seriously to catch fish you're gonna need a rod and reel and stuff. I have a guide to starting up fishing you might want to read. It will help you learn that rods and reels come in handy for fishing

The funny thing was I was trying to hide today and was only using 3 rods but the sneaky gits found me anyway. Sucks to be me I guess :)

Andy who I went with did really well today and better than me. I managed the Worlds smallest Garfish while he pulled in an unknown species and a number of small ballen wrasse.

I had, what I'm certain was, a very nice sized conger take my hook 4 times on the trot and all 4 times the second it felt the line go tight it shot down into rocks and snagged me. Lost quite a bit of gear to this beast but I'm hoping to get it next week. Nothing like hearing the bite clicker screaming as line starts shooting out :)

yea ,nice meeting you simon,glad to here you had a good day ,as you saw i was a bit busy so had to leave the rods at home ,but im out tomorrow for a few hours between 4pm and 9pm

I think kiwi and me were thinking of heading to oddicombe tomorrow simply because we've never been before. up for that?

funny you should mention that,i went up there after seeing you and down babbacombe beach too just having a look ,what time u thinking of going ?

Used to fish Oddicombe years back...........let me think.........dogfish.....dogfish oh yeah and dogfish. It will be a hoot.

oh yeah plenty of dogs down there ...but free parking and much more room than babbacome pier so you cant complain...also you will catch macky down there too whole sprat in the surf
