 weekends fishing rodney and chesil went out sat night as had had a stressed day(remind me that DIY, Blinding Hangover and pre christams children dont mix) so headed to rodney bay was almost like daylight with the full moon and i didnt need tiplights that was for sure, 1: because so bright 2: there were no fish have decided that rodney should now only be fished on the flood as yet to catch on the ebb, but a relaxed eve yesterday after work i headded off to west bexington got there bang on high tide 6.15 beach was busy but there was a gap right infront  game onset up 1 rod big baits 3/0 pennel other 2 hook flapper 2/0 as know the whiteing are in and boy were they baits hardly settling before they were stripped even on the 3/0 pennel sat chilling with a bottle of polish beer  and managed to bag tea for tonight or starter for christmas not decided yet  fishing went prettty dead 2 hours after high but i stuck it out till 11.30 as had to use up bait as wont be sea fishing again for a while(was only one there fishing after 10  slung big baits out on both rods as whiteing seemed to have gone so went all out for something special managed a doggie and another whiteing at the end also picked up 2 whiteing which someone had obviously caught in eve, broken neck as you do mackeral and then obviously decided didnt want and thrown back why didnt they just return alive , anyway there in my freezer nowsaw my mate the dog fox again on the beach also nearly hit an owl and a deer on way home what a bizare drive that was couple of nice chilled session  dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives Last edited by pingu; 12-24-2007 at 08:03 AM.     |
