| needles today 22/12/07 bit of a last minute thing but went out with eric(wight rebel ) to day in hope of a nice fat cod, but its was not to be. cracking sunrise thou  it was a hard days fishing with only dogs pout &whiting in the car park. but i did manage to catch something no one on board had ever seen outside a aquarium. a sea horse  as the tide eased and we got bit board of dogs we moved out to the rough, which was as dead. till the tide turned then suddenly the conger were hitting any think. so for the last hour we had about 8 congers , i had 2 of them ,20lbish and 45lb ish. we t-bared at the side so no piccys. then the full power of the tide came though and even 2lb of lead would not hold. so home ward bound still great to get out , and was a good laugh. even better i took the skippers money with biggest fish...lol cheers john __________________ http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...xt80382370.gif     |

| Re: needles today 22/12/07 nice eventful day there!! great way to start the day...and the conger sound like a great way to finish it!! i have had a conger off the beach at dover...about 12 inches long...slightly smaller than your 2 today!!! well done...i cant wait to get rod lines wet next week! chris  |
