fishing shop opening times at xmas...

can anyone help me...i am oplanning to fish somewhere...anywhere!! on south coast near and around dover/folkstone on 27th dec...any ideas if bait shops will be open around this time, or do they shut up shope for a week or so? some one please advise so i ont waste a journey please!! and if anyone cares to join me and a few friends, let me know!!
