| Oh for one more fish .... Fished a team selection match tonight at Eastney 1900 - 0000 HW2347 Lovely clear starlit night but very dark NW winds - sea was dead calm Got there half an hour late due to work  but bashed on anyway ....1st cast - Whiting - looking good, Gully rang "its a Whiting night" he said "perfect conditions" He wasn't wrong - had 9 good size Whiting and one Pout in the end and ended up 2nd overall  Missed out on first place by 4 bloody ounces - 1 more pout, slightly bigger Whiting - bigger stone in its gob (not really) but shouldn't grumble ... Winner had about 12 Pout & a Whiting, no-one else caught more than 2 or 3 Whiting so I had managed to hit the right spot and stay there amongst the Whiting all night - most I have ever caught in one session ....
