| Clarence, Southsea; 28/09/07 Quick report.... Fished the beach on Friday night, from low water at 6.30pm, up. Big tide, about 4.8/4.9 m. Little wind onshore, and good cloud cover with scattered showers. Hopeful of a few fish, perhaps a bigger Sole or two? One rod, with a 3 hook flapper and #3 hooks, fished at modest ranges. Bait was a combination of plain red Ragworm, Blow Lugworm, and a few White Ragworm. Sadly, the fishing was very slow. Only two fish showed, both Red Mullet of around 28cm, one caught early on, when there was a bit of colour in the water, and the other on the top of the tide, when conditions were clearer. Some weed around. A not unpleasant evening though! Tightlines! Sudge.     |
