| Clarence Wall cancelled - Haslar Wall instead Had a team building/fish/teach-in last night for 2 of our teams going to Newcastle In November. Went to Clarence wall - just a tad windy I think it is fair to say .... F7 gusting to F8 with heavy squally showers - could not stand up let alone fish ... so we wimped it and drove over to Haslar wall which would have been sheltered from the SW winds and it sure was - what a difference it made - virtually calm ! Ended up fishing 1900 - 000 HW2225 Very slight chop to the sea & overcast to start with and then crystal clear night. Not too hectic a night, had nice 2lb Bass & pups, small pout & Eel .... I fished about 200 yards down from the end but the lads near the end (gate section) had about 8-10 sole between them one bloke also had a 3lb Cod so definitely on their way !Not too bad a night given the change of venue ... Looking forward to tomorrow night, then Friday & Saturday - have to make the most of these tides ! __________________ SUPPORT THE RNLI - click : www.rnli.org.uk ... every little helps ! Might I ask why you weren't on the beach Tuesday and Thursday nights? I thought your were dedicated as well! How the hell do you get 4 passes in one week?Unlucky about the sole mate, but at least you caught some fish. The way my fishings going I'd take that at the moment. Good luck for your comp mate. __________________ Right then, checklist: Rods. Check. Reels. Check. Speckled Hen. Check. Bait…… BAIT! Sh*t, where’s the bait? |
