mullet fishing

been mullet fishing all day all i can say is what is specimen for duck!?!?!?!?
no mullet at all so back tomorrow for round 2!!

but thats mullet fishing for ya eh? i went for a walk on my local pier this morning at low water and was waching the golden greys swimming in the shallows.....bet they wouldnt of been there if i had a tray of red-rag and my gear with me!! lol just the way it goes i spose!! good luck for tomorrow bud...i presume your talking about thick lipped which are even harder to catch then the golden down my way..great fun trying though

Oj i am waiting for it to be ratified but hopefully soon i will have the new british record for the golden grey :)

also went today and on my last cast caught a thicklip just weighed it at home and it went just over 5lb i will let you know offical weight when i weigh it in at the festival tonight

well i caught it this time last year in the festival!!! and won the shore section. i sent the fish of too london to be ratified in july when they asked for it so we are just waiting to hear if it is (what i know it is ) and then i get the record....the record stands at 3.0.4 the one i caught last year was 3.11.12

Well done mate! think i have read that before....so your still waiting on the result then? hope to see your name next to the record soon then bud!! nice size for a goldie! my bigest goldie is about 2 1/2 lb so quite away behind you on that!! my bigest thicklip isnt that bad though...6lb 8onc two years back up the river which felt nice on my quiver tip!!
