 cracking day and got my blonde (new PB) well we set off at bum hole o'clock yesterday morning in search of the slightly hard to find big blonde rays, my m8 ivan was very confordent and he was right to be............ we head off quite away east of nab tower and anchored up, all was quite so we moved the boat 50 yard and then my rod went.....dogggie i though  , but how wronge was that . as "my doggie" bite stopped though id check bait........ bang . it was a very powerful ray on after a long scrap it surfaced ,only to look at me and run off again , it surfaced once more and we manged to net it   a new personal best of 28lb , beating my old one by 6lb  after a quick phote and wieght we released the beast to the deep again then my other rod went ........oh no (i was still shacking from the last one )but this time it was a wrasse about 2lb (thank god) next ivan was up with a 20lb blonde , as he released it his other rod knocked "doggie ????" no another blonde and as he struck it it must have taken 50yrds off his reel before he mangeged to turn its head and fight it to the surface  a fine 25lb blonde ray , again it was released.  next due to tide head off to try for some plaice out of the main run, but the plaice did not want to play so we head in to a patch of rough to finish the day with some bream, which for some odd reson i became golden bollox hooking one after another,  i kept two for dinner and we head home after a memorable day out  __________________ http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...xt80382370.gif     |
