Re: off to yarmouth

not much happening, there's a few sole coming off the pier, the odd codling and flounder are showing, and there's still the odd bass at cromer. lots of pout around too

Re: off to yarmouth

well after getting to yarmouth was still not certain were to fish so went to Gorleston south pier as was in TSF this month
on the monday night after getting some naff and expensive bait in cromer lasted about 1 1/2 hours as tide really ripping in and only had 4oz weights and couldnt hold bottom, no luck then few drunk teenagers ruined evening for me so headed off
went back fri eve this time after going to local tackle shop, gorleston tackle(not bad shop) and got heavier weights, get there for low tide and no current at all, fished on 2 hook rigs with lug, from shelters area with some locals got 3 very small pout, locals catching loads of prawns on drop nets (but not used as bait in area?) only other fish caught another pout/whiting of about 1lb,they said few sole caight lately and not much else, no makkie seen in ages aparently, left when they did as need good lights there and only had dying headlamp.
had a great hols though and caught something
