Just started sea fishing

Hi everyone ..... new to this site, and fairly new to Sea fishing. I am based in North Devon and have been concentrating on the Bude breakwater, so far with no success in catching anything. I have tried feathers and ledgering for Sea Bass, tried allsorts of bait, Sandeels,squid,peeler crab etc etc, does anyone know of a book or website that might give detailed pics of bait set up as I think the presentation maybe lacking...... either that or its a complete lie about fish in the sea !!!!
