| fished today well the trip from the onset looked like it was gonna be crap, got there and set up 1 rod to ledger, cast out fine then wind picked up so couldnt spin with other rod then 2nd cast with ledgered rod and got a birds nest, not a really bad 1 so sorted that out, cast out again and the same fait awaited me, yet another birdsnest, this 1 was worse i nearly gave up at this point but finaly sorted out my reel and messed about with afew of the turning things on my reel (its started making a noise which it never used to so think i might have a look at it), and then to make things worse i didnt bother putting a shock leader on this time and line snapped on the cast, very close to breaking point now  about half an hr passed and no bites on either a pennel rig with big squid rag mix or single hook rig with 3 rag on so changed rigs and tactics to a 2 hook bomb rig with size 1s on, this worked and caught a small bass slightly bigger than the others didnt see any other fish caught but had 100s of bites __________________ Bens The Name And Catchings The Game Anti the Anti's     |

| Re: fished today What sort of noise is it Ben? Does it sound like the ratchet is stuck on as i have had a couple of shakespear reels and they are prone to doing this. If it is the ratchet stuck on i just bent all mine away so i have no ratchet noise anymore. |

| Re: fished today its a wierd kinda dull fast clicking noise, so it could be the ratchet, but it did seem to get slightly better towards the end of the trip, it was lettling line out to quickly at the start of the cast and not quick enough towards the end of the cast no matter what i did with my finger __________________ Bens The Name And Catchings The Game Anti the Anti's |

| Re: fished today well iv just had my reel apart tryna tune it, 2 problems were incountered but i will; start with the good news the ratchet isnt broken but i couldnt get 1 of the ball bearings out to clean it and when i put the oil on it was about 5x worse than before so i toook the oil off again __________________ Bens The Name And Catchings The Game Anti the Anti's |
