Hola amigos de Pesca,

I'm really glad I found this forum... a good place to blog on my Journey.

My name is Bob, a South African with a Belgium father and a French mother, a real pavement special.

Me un mestizo... as they say in Espanol.
Me un loco mestizo... if you factor in this financial crisis and this loco mundo.

So I've decided to hell with it, I'll come back when the banquero bandidos have decided to make the world work.

In November, I start in Brasil, plane lands in Sao Paulo... and then I go from river to river... south, through Brasil, Uraguay, Argentina, Patagonia, Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay and then home.

Its a hiking holiday and could take the better part of 3 months, maybe 6 months.

Fishing for me, is about living, I did fly fishing as a kid, and got tired of watching a fish swim around in circles, dying after release.
I seemed to have a knack of hooking the trout in the gill, so I lost interest.

But this is different, this is about learning to survive, its the whole camping experience, from sub tropic to near freezing, and its as much about smoking them and making that pesca barbecue in la naturaleza, as catching them.

So, I'll blog as I move along, if I'm coming into your area, we can hook up for a days fishing and el barbecue.

I'm not doing the 4000 dollar a week tourist trail, this will be 3 days on a river, 2 days in a hotel, and then its the next river.
So if you do join me... just bring your fishing rod and sleeping bag.

OK... I've found a way to use this forum and show the journey

Remember that once I get to South America in November, only then will I get the cell phone going... see site above... and that replies may not be immediate.

So if I say we going to be there... and there is no cell and internet reception, it will probably be 3 days before you get a reply, and then we on our way somewhere else... so keep in mind that joining us for a days fishing and camping, will be one hop away.
