Thornbacks.

Only ever caught three ! One summer over twenty years ago off Abersoch, North Wales.
Tasted nice though.

Can they still be caught there ?

ps. seem to remember a lot of Dogfish as well !

i catch loads in cardigan bay at all the known marks they like a long snood and a good piece of macky on the end i dont think there are many places from cardigan all the way round the island and up the straights you cant catch them.. only place ive never personlay caught one at is the marks from llandudno down to rhoss on sea in the north dont know why ,

The above were caught on mackerel pieces, the best on a head !

Seem to remember someone caught a nice Bullhuss too !

Yes, we were told that at the time but none were caught. I'd liked to return someday !

try round dinas april time for the tope nice bass beach too there ,,hope you do get back i get down there often when i can i love the bay area so peaceful and with snowdon in the background what more cud you want

cant beat a jaunt up yr wddfa ,tryfan y garn ect love it up round llanberris if you fish spinners or flies in some of the pools you might be lucky lol also the stream that runs through bethesda had some good trout there ,ive stopped at ogwen cottage a few time with kids we take up there nice to wake up with tryfan as a back drop and lake ogwen in the front

Always fancied Crib Goch but the weather's always bad when ever I'be been over there.

crob goch frightend the life out of me its like a roof ledge rock scrabbling up to the end teacher i went with once told me his brothers friend lost his girl friend there she got took by a gust of wind some drop, if you go to electric mountain the lake there fishes well and the one bottom of llanberis pass turn back twards oggy its on the right ogwen used to fish well with a spinner
