Shore caught commons

Hey folks

I've hit three and played one to the rocks-couldn't do much with the beast after that and the hooks eventually straightened

I would like to know of any other shore caught commons.

Locations, bait, which part of the tide and the time of year.

Some literature states that low tide is best and all my hits came around August to September.
