youve given some good advice, but lee was just looking for a reel to buy..... if you put your tips etc in a different section then they may be of more use to somebody , as in a wanted section they could be easily missed ....and thats would be a shame !! nobodys having a go stud ........ i do have a bit of an idea about gear etc and think ive done enough to be taken slightly seriously casting is a means to an end......if you can reach the feeding fish then thats far enough ...be it 20 yards or 150 yards ..... i havent fished a beach yet were i think more distance would have made my chances any better ......... every caster ive ever seen loosens the brake...magnetic ....end cap etc when the cast is in place......never tightened it ..would be kinda crazy to tighten the spool in midcast or at the end of the cast...thats what thumbs are for ....to stop the spool at the end ........... anyway time to go fishing me thinks .......far too serious ![]() |

| Re: Wanted original daiwa 7hts Yeah, only tighten end cap when you 1st buy it blah blah blah. Anyway ive offered a bran new reel to cuckoo for £60. Piont taken on diff section which i have, sorry cuckoo didnt know you know, just a bit of advice if you didnt know mate. Sometimes i fish for cod off the beach and you need 150yrds plus to catch them. Anyway time to put kettle on as at this time of year best fishin is at night time. Two rods going fast and furious. One in one out. No harm done. Anyway follow the yellow brick road, follow the yellow brick road. |
