| peeler crabs went down to local shoreline this afternoon got talking to some bloke about catchin peeler crabs he was catching, whats got to be done to them before you can use them as bait? and whats the best way to keep them? __________________ Rough seas = Ground baiting |

| Re: peeler crabs you can freeze them for future use. or keep them alive in a bucket with a small amount of seawater in and some seaweed in a cool spot they will stay alive for a couple of days like that. |

| Re: peeler crabs when you use them you can peel the legs off and remove the lungs (on the belly of the crab) easiest way to hook them is through the hollow leg sockets then. bit of whipping elastic will be needed if distance casting. |

| Re: peeler crabs Hi Majak. Visibility is very poor underwater where I normally fish (Bristol CHannel) so leaving legs on has never made a difference but definately I agree if the water is clearer. |
