| Re: Organizing Shakespeare box Good idea to put boxes within boxes in my view......also got a Shakespeare seat box myself and i have fitted four boxes with lids in the bottom one for hooks one for line one for plain leads and one more for my break away leads! normally put my wet weather gear over the top of them then rig wallets and bait trays on top with my reels strapped to the lid and my match ruler also clipped in the lid!! Looks pretty tidy until i return from a fishing trip!!! lol ps....all the little stuff like swivels, beads and that sort of stuff i keep in small bags inside a rig wallet so there easy to find when needed and i don't have to turn my box inside out like i used to do regularly when i first started fishing!! | Re: Organizing Shakespeare box Like Ollie, I keep all my hooks, swivels, beads etc in my rig wallet. Unfortunately I just sling the rest in my shakespeare beta box and hope for the best Rob |

| Re: Organizing Shakespeare box Its all personal preference Gulle. Put it so it looks good and work from there. Your first trip out, take notice of what you need first or more often. Rearange as needed. Or just let it happen, just like a sock drawer, cotton socks end up on top, dressy black nylon socks on the bottom in back. ![]() __________________ A bad day fishing is better than a good day working! | Re: Organizing Shakespeare box Hi Gulle, Great boxes BUT!!!!! They are not waterproof. There are four slots, two on either side where rain or if you are on a boat sea spray seeps in. I purchased the accessory pack for mine, i.e. a tray that fits on the inside top rear, and brackets that screw to the underside of the lid that hold two multipliers. The tray has holes for your weights to sit in and two slots that hold reels. A lid locking device is also included. I also have the "rucksac" conversion that enables you to carry the box, backpac style. Well woth it if you have a long trek. Through time you will personalise your own box, evey time I go out I am always looking at other peoples boxes to gain ideas. A welcome addition to the plastic storage boxes are the relatively new type that have a neoprene watertite seal, e.g. www.lakelandlimited.co.uk/product.aspx/!2597_2474_2475_2663_2479_2384_2482 These are expensive but Tesco and Williamsons have similar ones that are cheaper. They are waterproof and well worth that little bit extra. I also have a 1 large and 1 small Veals rig wallets. I mention Veals as compared to some of the other manufacturers, the plastic inserts can be replaced as and when. One of the drawbacks of transporting the box if you haven't the backpac conversion, is that it tends to slide off your shoulder. I have tried time and time again to overcome this, but to no avail. Perhaps someone will come up with a method. Hope this helps. Cheers Drew __________________ All that Glitters is not Gold |
