Capturing Small Live Bait Fresh/Salt

Take a clear 2Ltr. plastic pop/soda bottle, cut the top third of the bottle off. Take the top and place it narrow end first into the 2 thirds of the bottle, staple the two halves together. ( It's like a crab trap but plastic.) Fill with the areas water ( fresh/salt ) and a little bait, secure a line and marker to it all and lower into a selected spot - leave for a time then recover. FRESH BAIT. If you're still not sure E-Mail me and i'll send a diagram.

See z ya.

you can do it across whole streams as well by sticking sticks in the ground with enough gap for water to go t=hrough but not big fish

Re: Capturing Small Live Bait Fresh/Salt

You leave it down for as long as you think its going to take. The catch you would expect is small minnows/sprats or anything that can swim through the narrow bottle neck that takes a fancy to the bait you put in the trap ( a little outside would help intice em.)

Re: Capturing Small Live Bait Fresh/Salt

Hi Ben,
try what ever the locals use but use very small parts ie: if locals use maggots use pinkies for the trap, bread use toast crumbs etc etc.
