Squid baits

does anyone use the mini squid? i bought some from tackle shop (they had run out of normal boxes) but have yet to use them. the whole mini squid is no bigger than about 1.5 inches.

If you do do i just hook them once through body or what?? use more than one at once??

Re: Squid baits

I rate them as a good bait.

I've had bass, cod and whiting on them fished whole or to tip off worms

Re: Squid baits

yes hook them the same way as ben recomended,
you should catch most species of shore fish,
if you are useing big squid cut them into strips
then hook through the top and wrap it around the hook ,
through the squid again keep going till you get too the end,
you can wrap bait cotton around it or leave it how it is.
