| Weighing Scales Imlooking to get some weighing scales but have no idea what i need! i rarely use a net to land fish as i mostly fish rock marks with access to water level. Are lip gripper type suitable for UK shore fishing? Im keen not to use them if they might damage fish mouths, esp on larger speicies. (6-8lbs) Any advice on types and makes would be welcome.     |

| Re: Weighing Scales hi island, i've got a set of dial scales, though more accurate over a period of time than spring balances i wish i'd bought a set of digital scales because of the weight and ease of reading them. i've not seen lip grippers but i have no probs with weighing fish without a net as i often carry a plastic bag to place them in. __________________ 2008, sessions..16,,total blanks..2, species,..13. its easier for a man to destroy the light within himself than to defeat the darkness all around him. |

| Re: Weighing Scales We use Shakespere digitals on the boat easy to read have a memory function and turn themselves off to save the batteries......  |

| Re: Weighing Scales Hi Island, I have a "Little Samson" scale that I have used for over 30 years. Everyone laughs at them, but they have been proved accurate enough time and time again. I have to give them a coat of WD40 now and again to keep the rust off but other than that no other maintenance. Yesterday whilst fishing with Andy G they were produced to weigh a Black Bream, but not being good enough the skipper produced his scales to register the same weight.
