Re: Ways to catch I find the mullet on the teign quite easy to catch but depends on the time of the year. They tend to be very sly at the beginning and the end of the season and will catch only on bread and now you will catch them on near enough anything. Sometimes i use a bubble float with a long trace to catch them using bread. size 6 or 8 hooks and i find 6lb - 8lb flourocarbon to work best __________________ Nothing grows faster than a fish from when it bites until it gets away.

Re: Ways to catch My grandfather was a great mullet man - he would ground bait his chosen patch for several days with bread paste and then float fish bread paste balls on coarse tackle.

A small mepps spinner with the treble hook remounted about an inch behind it & baited with a small piece (half to threequarters of an inch.) of ragworm, can also work.
