ben ive had this happen aswell. more so with the blue packet (small launce) from ammo. but worst of all for this to happen are sandeels that tackle shops have frozen themselves - because they havent been blast frozen ice crystals form inside the eels then when they start defrosting the insides is just liquid.

i like to get fresh dead sandeels so they havnt been frozen and they are in great condition

i gt some mini sand ells once, about an inch long and by the time they were defrossted they were unusable, ended up chopping em up and using them in a swim feeded
