Thanks mate, I will be checking these reels out.

Crusty is on a distinguished road
Re: New Fixed Spool Needed!!

Kiwi,

Consider having a look at the Penn Prion reels shown in Marsh Tackle's website. They appear in the end of line bargains section.

£100 reels selling for £30, about £35 with postage. I bought one recently and it's a very smart, smooth reel for light fishing such as spinning or flounder fishing.

Come in a variety of specifications depending on your needs.

Chris

I was having a look at these reels locally yesterday. It seemed a really good deal until I noticed that all the dealers appear to be doing the same or similar deal!! I still thank you for noticing and bringing it to my attention though.

After today, Im a little "off" Penn reels to say the least.

Thank you friend.

Re: New Fixed Spool Needed!!

Update.

After reading another thread, I noticed that Simon had made a recommendation of a Daiwa Samurai reel. I spotted one of these whilst being taken out to buy a new fixed spool for my birthday (cheers Kev).

The model I got was the Samurai-7i 4050. The reel is awesome and strong enough for what I will put it through, although we wont be driving over this one....LOL

Cant wait to use it.
